1 Month Spring Fitness Challenge, Fitness & Yoga for Men💪

Hello!
I’m excited to share that there are now 35+ classes in the Wellness Membership with more being added this Saturday!

I have been working on this membership to provide you with an affordable and accessible package that includes a variety of classes from me and also from other instructors! I have so many amazing classes on their way to you! Yay!

As a new member special, I am offering a free 7 day trial and then $27/month (regular price $40), only until March 21. Once you sign up, you keep that lower price, even as the content grows and the price increases.

These next few days are the perfect time to try it out so you have time to access the free 7 day trial and if you choose, the lower membership price before March 21.

Our March special guest instructor classes have been added as well. There is a Barre/Pilates Class with Colleen and a Rocket Yoga Class with Ricky! I also have some spring/summer activity related classes included in the membership too!

Yoga for Walkers/Runners: Strength/Warm-up
Yoga for Walkers/Runners: Cool-down
Yoga for Cyclists
Yoga for Golfers
And this Saturday, I am adding:
Yoga for Gardening
Fitness Class: Legs, HIIT, Core & Stretch/Cool-down
Fitness Class: Chest, Triceps. HIIT, Core & Stretch/Cool-down

All of my yoga classes are about building strength and stability along with mobility. If we want more flexibility we need to be stable in that too. Yoga is sometimes thought of as being all about flexibility and although it helps with that, there so much more to it than that! When we are in a position (this could be in a yoga pose or getting out of the car or a chair), can we get out of it using our own strength and stability or do we need help pushing out of it? This is where we want to use what we learn to activate and build stability in our full range of motion. I like to think of yoga as a skillful movement practice and to use it to help support the body in learning healthy movement patterns in our daily movement because what we do each day matters. It is as basic as how we are walking and standing. Are we positioned well so our joints don't wear out from uneven wear and tear and are we adding resistance correctly so that our muscles stay strong to support our structure/skeleton?

I am hoping there is something for everyone in this membership and if you don’t see a class you feel you would like, please let me know! If I don’t have the background to teach it I can definitely find someone who will.

Hugs! xo Janelle

Studio Updates on In Person Classes:

I took some time this week to assess the current situation as there was a lot of confusion with the new AHS guidelines in Step 2. I am seeing some studios reopening and some remaining closed until there are more restrictions lifted.

The new guidelines indicate that we are to wear masks before, during and after class, be 3m apart and that only lower intensity classes are allowed.

Your well-being and health are my priority. And the sustainability of opening up "half way" as far as what classes can run are the reasons why I am going to wait until there are more restrictions lifted. I am hoping to reopen in April for in person classes! But in the meantime, The Wellness Membership is available here

I will send out a newsletter mid March with pending class offerings for April so I can pre-register everyone ahead of time as booking ahead of time is also another guideline.

If you have any questions, please let me know!

About Janelle:
My love of practicing yoga started back in 2001. I practiced for a long time before a major life event pushed me to dive deep and I thought a teacher training would be perfect for the personal growth I was craving. It was challenging for me and it changed my life! I did not go to training with the intention of teaching and did not think I would  actually teach but after doing some practice teaching regularly with a group of friends, I ended up seeing (and hearing!) how well they felt and the changes they were experiencing! That pushed me to start teaching on a regular basis. And I say push because even though I have been an extrovert in the past, I am also very introverted and am an empath so teaching in front of a group of people was initially very scary for me!

I started teaching in 2009. Yoga has a way of elevating my sense of well-being and is incredible for building overall strength, stability & mobility. Staying focused on breath and movement calms my body and mind. I love being able to access different practices depending on what it is I am needing each day. I have experienced burn out and yoga has been my saving grace in giving me tools to calm my nervous system down and bring my body back from chronic fatigue. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (most common form of hypothyroidism) back in 2000 and I am happy to say that today my doctor can not find any sign of it! I contribute that healing to yoga, eating the right foods and listening to my body each and every day.  I continue to teach in the hopes that I can help others feel lifted, supported and cared for each time they step on to their mat. xo
