HAPPY WINTER!
Hello everyone!! I hope all of you are staying warm!
I wanted to share with you that I will be continuing live classes via zoom in the new year and will also continue to offer the online studio. I am so grateful we are able to connect live each week and get to see each others faces, have some laughs and move and breathe together...all from the comfort of our cozy homes!

It seems that there are a lot of small businesses shifting to being at home.
Winter is also a quiet time at the lake so it is not feasible for me to try and run in person classes in January or February, especially after all that has happened with covid.

And thank you so much to all of you who are a part of The Wellness Membership. It is not even a year old and we have such a lovely community! I am so grateful for all of you!
If you have any feedback on what could help with staying motivated and inspired to get your workout or practice in at home please let me know!

HOLIDAY SEASON SCHEDULE
December classes are running from December 1-20 then off for Christmas from December 21 to 28. HOLIDAY SEASON CLASSES will be:

3 WEEK DECEMBER SESSION PASSES
The session passes below give you more freedom so you can choose any class of the week & can change it up each week if you can't commit to one specific session. Wellness Members also receive classes at a discounted price (please note that a member is someone who has the Wellness Membership).

WINTER SESSION CLASS SCHEDULE
Monday @ 5pm: Movement & Mindfulness for Pandemic Fatigue 60min
This class is themed weekly and includes gentle movement that can help clear out stress from our physical & emotional body. At the end of class, we will move into a short meditation and some guided relaxation to settle into deeper rest and healing.
Weekly themes:
Week 1: Depression. Week 2: Anger. Week 3: Sadness. Week 4: Judgement
Week 5: Isolated. Week 6: Grief. Week 7: Anxiety

Wednesday @ 10am: Weights & Yoga 60min
Build stability, improve strength and cardiovascular health and build bone density by adding weight training to your exercise regime. This class will include different weight training exercises and muscle groups each week. We will also use yoga poses that improve strength and balance and finish class with stretches for the areas that we worked.
Week 1 & 5: Chest & Triceps. Week 2 & 6: Legs. Week 3 & 7: Shoulders. Week 4: Back & Biceps
You need: 2 sets of free weights (one lighter and one heavier set), yoga mat, water and block.

Friday @ 9:30am: Strength, Balance & Mobility for Longevity 60min
In this class, build strength with yoga poses and body weight exercises. You will also improve joint health with mobility exercises and learn some therapy ball exercises to decrease stiffness in the body and increase range of motion.

Saturday @ 9am: Yoga for Strength & Core 60min
This fun and rejuvenating flow class is full of movement and core work to help you build strength. Class finishes with some stretching and relaxation.

Sunday @ 7pm: Yoga for Sleep 30min
Yoga Nidra can help activate the relaxation response in your body and improve the functioning of your nervous system. It can help your body regenerate and repair, decrease anxiety and improve your mood. It can also help manage immune function, blood pressure, cortisol levels and induce restful sleep. 30min of yoga nidra has been known to be equivalent to 4 hours of deep rest.
Please note that since this practice is only 30min, the session pass price for 3 weeks is:
Members: $20. Non-members: $22 Drop in: $8

NEW! THE WELLNESS MEMBERSHIP INTERACTIVE COMMUNITY!
The intention of this group is for members to connect with and support one another in a private community! It is like having a Facebook group but on the Wellness Membership site so it’s easier to interact, it is more private and is easily accessed as I know some of our members are not on Facebook.

When you are on the main page of your Wellness Membership, you will see a little bell at the top right of your page. Notifications will appear here whenever comments are made and you are tagged in the comment or a reply is made to your comment. Otherwise, you can go to the Community group tab to view all of the comments or share if you like. You can find the community group on your dashboard (see picture). To tag someone you can put @ before their name and it will tag them so they will see it in their notifications!

Relief from Chronic Pain

In 2007 I had already been feeling the effects of fibro and my undiagnosed DDD and arthritis that was grabbing hold of my neck, taking up permanent residence.

At that time I had been on a steady diet of pain meds, anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxants and had been for the past 10+ years. That diet of meds would continue for another 10 years.

You can see how that chronic daily level of hurting was wearing me down. The lack of quality sleep, what the meds themselves were doing, along with feeling like shit every dang day because I was hurting…it was definitely starting to weather me.

Another aspect of hurting daily is what goes on inside your head. Now I was adding depression into the mix because looking forward at a life of chronic discomfort really doesn't make one smile and dance with glee. I sure didn't like feeling years older than I was.


I think I weighed 95 lbs in this picture. What's even sadder, I was actually feeling better there than I had been the year before.


It would take 11 more years to actually feel truly healthy again, 11 more years of meds before I stumbled onto a gamechanger product. 11 more years before I was handed the rewrite on my health. A product that I stumbled upon that I had no freaking idea would improve my health.

I had no idea that after a few weeks my body would start to feel better and that I would no longer be taking the cocktail of daily meds.

I had no idea how this was working when nothing else had. I just knew I was feeling so much better. Better, physically than I had in years.

Was I eagerly going to the mirror everyday to see if it was working as skincare? Um YEP. Did the improvement happen overnight? NO! Actually it took a couple of months before I noticed an improvement in my skin.

In these 2 pics, you see a difference on the outside. But what you can't measure from looking at them is the improvement on the inside…you can't measure how freaking great I felt and feel now!


How awesome it feels to wake up not hurting, to not move through the day hurting, to not go to bed at night hurting. You can't measure that until you experience it and I wish everyone out there could. I don't understand the science, all I know is how I used to feel inside my skin and how I feel now.
