How it works:
- Once you have decided on the classes you want to practice each week, please send me a note on which ones you want and I will send you the private link(s).
- Once I send you the link, I will use your pass or you can drop in. Drop ins are $15.
- The link will be open for the whole day.
- If you wish to take a specific class again, please let me know you want to reuse a link and I will resend it.
- I am hoping that the video links are not shared and instead I would be honoured by any referrals and offer a free class to any of your friends or family who would like to try out a class.
- If anyone is struggling financially, please let me know and I will do my best to support you in any way I can.
Below are the weekly classes you can choose from but classes can also be practiced when it works for you. You don't have to stick with the below schedule.
Tuesday: Yoga Flow
Wednesday Strength, Balance & Mobility for Longevity and/or Yoga for Beginners (4 week session)
Thursday: Yin/Restorative Yoga
Friday: Yoga for Strength and/or Strength, Balance & Mobility for Longevity
Saturday: Yoga for Strength and/or Yin/Restorative Yoga
Sunday: Moksha Yoga
What you will need for a class:
Yoga mat
Eye cover/pillow
Two blocks (big books can work)
Bolster (a pillow or couch cushion can work)
A strap (a belt can work!)
Blanket
Therapy balls/tennis balls (for Wednesday's Longevity class only)

As I have progressed through the 71 years of my life, I have talked about getting more exercise, becoming more fit and in general, getting more out of life. Personally, I have tended to neglect all or some of those areas. Over the past year or so, a friend consistently encouraged me to start attending yoga sessions at Pigeon Lake Wellness Studio. I kept shrugging it off but in February 2020, I was booked to go on a trip to Daytona to attend the Daytona 500! In addition, I was signed up for a βdriving experienceβ on that very track. This meant climbing in through the window of an actual race car and being able to get out of it too!!
In January, I talked with Janelle and set up a session to see if she could help me with getting into the car window, and mainly, to be able to lift my legs up and through the window (the doors donβt open) on my own. This led to a number of private sessions and a program that would help to increase my flexibility and strength.
Progress was made through January and early February and in the week before I left, Janelle insisted that we do a test run. What a sight to see as Janelle and I practiced climbing in and out of the window of her car in the studio parking lot! There was success as I was able to get in and out of the car through the window!
Work out sessions and meetings continued until I left for Daytona. The driving experience at Daytona was something I will never forget. From getting the race suit on to climbing in the window of that car and then driving around a track for 8 minutes that is banked at 31 degrees and at speeds exceeding 140 MPH was amazing. And then being able to climb out of the car window AFTER such a fatiguing experience meant success too!
Fast forward to now and I have continued the exercise sessions and have even attended a couple of sessions at the studio (a bit intimidating as anything new can be and I was the only male but the small groups were great and made me feel really comfortable). This was all possible because Janelle took the time to work with me and convince me that the results would be rewarding.
Now I can truthfully say at the young age of 71 (soon to be 72!) I am getting great exercise, fitness is improving, I am eating healthier and I am actually able to take one item off my βbucket listβ. Thanks to a friend that was the catalyst and especially to Janelle for her direction, support and enthusiasm.
Set aside any reservations you might have and try attending some sessions or maybe a personal consultation (first one is free) and you will find it very rewarding!! Thanks Janelle!!
