With the recent announcements from the Alberta Government, gyms are allowed to reopen with restrictions but group exercise is where group classes fit in so we are still not allowed to reopen. This is why I am working on offering more online classes and events for you!

Yay! This is our newly launched Namastream website! If you wish to sign up for free, click here and it will take you to the Sign Up Now Page. You don't need to buy anything when you sign up and can just check out the products available. I will be using this website to run live events and post all of their recordings. I have also created a Wellness Membership so if you decide to join, you get a discount on all of the classes and events. I am also excited to share this because I was able to organize it better for you and categorize classes so you can search for class length, style & level depending on what you are needing each time!

Today, I am giving away a free Cedarwood essential oil. How to win? Please email me back with your essential oil of choice that you use for relaxation.
Does this happen to you before bed? It sure makes it tough to fall asleep and move into a deep sleep (which is where the body and brain do their best healing) but there are some tools you can use!:
1. Create a routine at least 30min before bedtime. Your body and mind will start to recognize it as a time to drop down and begin to relax.
2. If possible, no screen time an hour before bed. Blue light from screens dysregulates the brain causing it to think it’s supposed to be awake because it’s “light out.”
3. Essential oils like lavender, cedarwood or northern lights black spruce work to calm the brain and body down. They can help relax and ground you when you place some oil on the bottoms of the feet (there are lots of pores on the bottoms of the feet) before bed. A great spot are the big toes because they are the reflexology points for your brain. I can make Sleepy Time roller blend for you if you need which makes it really easy to put on and has carrier oil in it which also makes it last longer on the skin. There have been real time mapping experiments done with cedarwood and when someone smelled it, they could see it activated the part of the brain that helps you to relax.
4. Use a yoga nidra or body scan to notice where you are holding tension and to help you unwind and relax your nervous system. Check out a free body scan here (scroll all the way to the bottom):
