Last Call for Live Zoom Class Registration ☺
/Hello Beautiful Community :)
With the case numbers as high as they are and growing, I am uncomfortable gathering people so I am moving all classes to live classes on ZOOM for now. I want to keep everyone safe. And I figure online classes are better than not running anything at all. Supporting our body, mind and soul through intentional movement and doing it together is so important, especially right now. Classes start this week as early as September 22 so please let me know by Monday afternoon what classes you are attending!
The Wellness Membership Online Studio is also available if you prefer recorded classes and/or need to practice/exercise at a specific time.
If you are not used to live classes on zoom, you are not alone and I am here to help. Like with anything else, the more you do it the easier it gets. You can choose to have your video on or off especially for yoga nidra and meditation. For more active classes it can be good to have your video on so I can see what you are doing and support you better but it is of course up to you!
Below are the sessions that may run in the ZOOM STUDIO and are pending based on preregistration. Please let me know today as to what session or classes you are attending below and I will send you the direct zoom link the day before class. Also, I will stay on after classes so we can all visit for a little longer if you like! CONNECTION is most important during this time and even if it is over a screen, we can still experience energy and support from each other.
THE ZOOM STUDIO SESSIONS
Sunday @ 7pm: Pajama Yoga & Sleep Yoga (Yoga Nidra) 30min
Get comfy and if you like, put your PJs on for this class (you can have your video off)!
Rinse out your day with gentle stretches before we settle into a yoga nidra.
30min of yoga nidra has been known to be equivalent to 4 hours of deep rest. Yoga Nidra can help activate the relaxation response in your body and improve the functioning of your nervous system. It can help cells regenerate and repair, decrease anxiety and improve your mood. It can also help manage immune function, blood pressure, cortisol levels and induce restful sleep.
5 week session: October 3,10, 17, 24 & 31

Wednesday @ 10am: Weights & Yoga 60min
Build stability, improve strength and cardiovascular health and build bone density by adding weight training to your exercise regime. This class will include different weight training exercises and muscle groups each week. We will also use yoga poses that improve strength and balance and finish class with stretches for the areas that we worked.
You need: 2 sets of free weights (one lighter and one heavier set), yoga mat, water and block.
Week 1 & 3: Chest & Triceps
Week 2 & 4: Legs
Week 3 & 5: Shoulders
Week 4 & 6: Back & Biceps
6 week session: September 22, 29, October 6, 13, 20 & 27

Thursday @ 7pm: Yoga & Meditation for Pandemic Fatigue 60min
If you are feeling heavy energy right now, you are not alone. This class will be themed weekly. It will include gentle movement that can help clear out stress from our physical & emotional body. Certain movement and breath have a way of either stimulating or relaxing the body and this class will include ones that can calm the nervous system down and will align with each weekly theme. At the end of class, we will move into a meditation and some guided relaxation to settle into deeper rest and healing.
Weekly themes:
Week 1: Meditation to move depression
Week 2: Meditation to move frustration
Week 3: Meditation to move hopelessness
Week 4: Meditation to move judgement
Week 5: Meditation to move feeling alone
Week 6: Meditation to move grief
You will need a bolster, 2 blankets, eye cover and block
6 week session: September 23, 30, October 7, 14, 21 & 28

Fridays @ 9:30am: Yoga for Strength 60min
This class includes yoga poses to build strength and stability and finishes off with core work and poses to improve flexibility.
6 week session: September 24, October 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29

Fridays @ 11am OR Sundays @10am: Strength, Balance & Mobility for Longevity for 50+ 60min (please let me know which class time works best for you)
In this class, build strength with yoga poses and body weight exercises. You will also improve joint health with mobility exercises and learn some therapy ball exercises to decrease deep tension and stiffness in the body.
6 week session: September 24, October 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29

Saturday @ 8am: Yoga Flow 30min
This fun and fast moving flow class is full of movement and core exercises to rejuvenate you and get you ready for your day!
5 week session: September 25, October 9, 16, 23 & 30

This challenge is a 4 week challenge and includes yoga and fitness classes and has shorter class times (between 15-40min) so it can support you to get your workout in even among the many distractions that can happen at home! A Closer Look at Collagen
Hair, hair and more hair!
My picture is bottom left after 6 months on liquid collagen. I had lost a lot of hair by my temples and it started to thin quite far back (which you can see in the pic) due to chronic stress. If we lose it as we age, I am grateful to be able supplement it so it builds back up and supports my body.
Many people are seeing a difference not just with their hair but also gum health, skin tone and tightness and improved joint health with decreased swelling and pain from arthritis. Trauma as Medicine Inspirational Talk & Workshop with Sarah Salter Kelly

In this workshop, Sarah will share inspirational stories and tools for addressing trauma garnished from her own personal experience and from years of teaching trauma focused workshops.
In her book, Trauma as Medicine, Sarah Salter-Kelly shares her experience of her mother’s kidnapping and brutal homicide as an inspiring example of how to distill trauma into medicine on a personal level. Chapter by chapter, she invites the reader to take their own journey of healing. Sarah’s story takes us beyond the realm of personal healing and into the collective, as she seeks to understand her mother’s murderer. This leads her to the First Nations reserve of his ancestors and real-life immersion in the history of colonization in Canada, systemic racism, and white privilege. Offering ceremonies, journaling, and exercises, Sarah leads you into the discomfort of your own suffering to be with it, determine for yourself what you need, and discover the tools to proceed towards wholeness.
Sarah will have her books with her for sale and will do book signings for anyone who would like a special message from her.
