This special event was the biggest group we have had for our group classes! Our free yoga classes had 32 lovely people for our flow class and 30 for yin! (Our normal class sizes are around 8-10 people so you can definitely expect smaller classes if you join us for a class down the road)! π
People joined us from near and far! From Wetaskiwin, Edmonton, Drayton Valley and Spruce Grove to name a few!π
There is such a special energy in each group class and no two classes are the same. The energy of practicing in βtogethernessβ is so nourishing. Thank you to everyone who came and made the day so special.

Candlelight Yin & Nidra with Janelle
Fridays @ 5:30pm
Delve into a blissful class as you move into deeper muscle and connective tissue tension. Decrease stress to support your nervous system as you learn tools on how to unwind and relax your body and mind. To help complete this practice, we will finish with a short yoga nidra session to support you in getting a good nights rest.

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)
Mondays @ 6:45-7:30pm

High Intensity Interval Training is a cardiovascular exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods. It will increase your cardiovascular endurance while burning fat and increasing your metabolism. A mat is all you will need for equipment for this class.

Circuit Training with Amy
Mondays @ 7:45-8:30pm
8 weeks: $80

Circuit Training This class includes circuit training which will include the use of free weights, kettlebells, ropes, cardio exercises, bodyweight exercises, and core training, finishing with stretching for a complete workout. All levels are welcome and variations can be given if needed.
Inamojo for Kids with Jaime (Ages 5-8)
Pre-registered session- 9 Weeks: January 14 to March 10, 2020

Our mission is to help equip children with life-tools and life-skills for life-long wellbeing. Inamojo programs nurture creativity and imagination through play while addressing all levels of healthy developmental growth: physical, cognitive, emotional and social.

Thursdays @ 9:30am

This is a session for moms and anyone who needs some self care time! This rejuvenating class will help build strength and improve flexibility. Then restore and relax as we finish class off with a nidra (yoga for sleep) session to decrease stress on the body and mind.

Yoga Nidra with Chris
Sundays @ 4pm
By donation: $50 for 8 weeks or minimum $5 donation
This is an extremely healing practice.Yoga Nidra has been referred to as sleep yoga and it has been said that 30 minutes of it is equivalent to 4 hours of sleep. You will be guided as you rest, allowing your mind and body to slip into a deep state of relaxation. We have extra props for you to use but you are welcome to bring your own blanket, eye pillow and whatever else you need for support.

Yoga for Beginners Workshop
Saturday February 1 @ 1pm
In this workshop will you will learn the most common yoga poses, the benefits of each one, how to activate and develop more strength in them and learn the alignment that gives you the most stability. You will also learn common breathing exercises that can support your nervous system, decreasing stress on your body and mind. Variations (modifications) will also be given if you have had any injuries.
The workshop will end with a yoga nidra (yoga for sleep) experience so you can feel what this deep relaxation technique can do for your body & mind.

Fall Prevention Workshop

In this workshop, you will learn ways to prevent falls including:
exercises to improve balance and strength
assist your body awareness by doing specific exercises for your feet
if you end up falling, you will learn ways to get up off the floor on your own
how to decrease the chance of falling on slippery surfaces

Fall Prevention Tips:
- If you are on a slippery surface, keep your knees bent and take short strides. The lower your centre of gravity the better.
- Connect with your feet by using therapy balls/tennis balls to stimulate the proprioceptors on the bottoms of your feet. The more stimulated, the better connected your feet are to the ground.
- Work on improving balance and strength in your legs (there are a variety of different exercises we can give you!)
- If you are walking, stay focused on each step you take. When the mind wanders, this can be distracting for the body.
- Walk around in socks or bare feet at home as much as you can. Wearing thick soled shoes does not allow your feet to connect to the ground so your nervous system has no stimulation work with. We need to FEEL our feet so we know where they are! The better body awareness we have, the more control we have of our movements.
