Schedule Change Reminder
Starting tomorrow, Tuesday October 15, Yoga Flow will run at 6:15pm (please note that the Monday class will no longer run due to this change).
This Saturday October 19: Our 9:30am class will run at 8am!! And there will be no yin class.

Your feedback is important! We are needing some schedule feedback for the upcoming winter schedule (Nov 10-Dec 22) so we can determine the best times and classes to offer you during the winter months. Please let us know if there are other class times or types of classes you would like to experience!

Raise Your Vibe Yoga on Thursdays @ 6:30, 7 or 8am: Raise your vibration and start your day off by taking care of you first. Elevate your day ahead with movement and breath, oxygenate your body & mind and FEEL the difference it makes to your overall well-being.

Yoga, Massage & Sugar Scrubs for Moms on Thursdays @ 9:30am: A rejuvenating class for moms who give out so much to everyone. After class, tea will be served while you get to experience a short sugar scrub foot massage.

Stretching & Beer for Stiff Guys on Thursdays @ 7:30pm: This class is for men only and will help stretch out tight areas for gents, especially the lower back, hamstrings, glutes and shoulders. After class, chill for awhille and enjoy a beer with your buds!

Warm or Hot Yoga Flow & Yin on Saturdays @ 2pm or Sundays @ 10am: Enjoy rejuvenating movement and flow to build strength and cardiovascular endurance. The second half of the class will restore and balance your body by slowing it down in some yin poses, calming your nervous system and stretching out any tension left from the active part of your practice.

Jasmin is offering reiki sessions at the studio and for October you get $10 off of a session ($55). Reiki is a beautiful healing technique offering beneficial, calming, balancing and stress-reducing effects. Please email me back if you would like to book an appointment.

In addition to making you feel good, feeling and expressing gratitude brings a wide range of health benefits including:

2. Improving your sleep (especially if your mind tends to be too active, full of negative thoughts and worries at bedtime)

3. Increases the likelihood of engaging in healthy activities

4. Improves satisfaction in relationships

5. Increases work performance (managers who have expressed their gratitude have seen a 50% increase in employee performance)

6. Stress reduction

7. Improving one’s sense of well-being

8. Improving heart health

9. Producing measurable positive effects on serotonin neurotransmitters, dopamine (involved in mood regulation), reproductive hormones, cortisol (stress hormone), blood pressure, heart rate and blood sugar levels.

So how can we practice gratitude more?
Here are 5 practical strategies to strengthen and enhance gratitude in your life:

1. Keep a diary of gratitude: start and finish your day with writing a list of at least 5 things you are grateful for.
2. Write a thank you letter: you can write a note or a letter of gratitude to someone in your life. 
3. Non-verbal actions: these include listening, eye contact, smiles and hugs!
4. Prayer or meditation mindfulness: expression of thanksgiving during prayer or meditation is another way of cultivating an attitude of gratitude. By concentrating on what is good today, you become available to receive abundance in your life. What you focus on expands!
