I am looking forward to hearing your feedback on classes and anything else you would like to share!
Thank you for lighting up the studio and I am so glad to know that it is a happy place for some of you! I am grateful for the support we all have for each other. Each time you step onto your mat I hope you know you are making a difference to yourself, to those around you and to the world.

Spring Session 2020: March 8 to May 2 (8 week session)
The schedule below is pending and classes will run based on pre-registration so please confirm which classes you wish to attend by March 1!
Even if you have a punch pass we still need to know which classes you want to attend. With your feedback, we will determine which classes will stay on the schedule and then drop in will be available. We will post the finalized schedule on March 4.
Please note that both of our 6 & 12 passes expire 2 months from the date of purchase. If your pass is close to expiring, we can change it to a drop in pass but please let us know before it expires.You can also use your punch pass for any class.
If you have pre-registered for a session and have missed classes, you can make them up within the session!

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) with Amy
Mondays @ 6:45-7:30pm (no class March 30 & April 13)

High Intensity Interval Training is a cardiovascular exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods. It will increase your cardiovascular endurance while burning fat and increasing your metabolism. A mat is all you will need for equipment for this class.
Circuit Training with Amy
Mondays @ 7:45-8:30pm (no class March 30 & April 13)

This class includes the use of free weights, kettlebells, ropes, cardio exercises, bodyweight exercises and core training and will finish with stretching for a complete workout. All levels are welcome and variations can be given if needed.
Revitalize Yoga Flow & Guided Relaxation with Jasmin
Tuesdays @ 6:30pm
Pre-registered session: $128
Build strength and improve cardiovascular health with a challenging flow class then wind down with some soothing stretching. At the end of class, there will be time to settle into full support with the coziness of blankets and other props as you are guided through a body scan to help relax your nervous system and prepare your body and mind for a restful sleep.
Strength, Balance & Mobility for Longevity
Wednesdays @ 9:30am with Jasmin

This class is great for beginners!

As we age, it is crucial to stay moving and to learn healthy movement patterns to support and maintain our body for many years to come.
In this class, you will learn specific exercises that will help support your longevity, joint health and keep you strong and moving fluidly! You will learn movement that stimulates the nutrition needed to lubricate joint surfaces and exercises that can create ease in your movement and decrease soreness and pain. We will work with proprioceptors to help improve balance to prevent falls (and if you do fall, to learn ways to get up off the floor on your own).
We will also include a few weight training exercises each class. You will learn how to lift weights correctly for specific muscle groups supporting bone density and lean body mass. There is research that shows we lose 1 pound of lean body mass after the age of 35 so it is important to maintain it with added resistance.
We will then decrease muscle tension and help increase healthy range of motion by learning to use therapy balls. You will learn different exercises for specific muscle groups with the therapy balls which you can take home with you and use any time you need! Chairs are also used throughout the class for different exercises and can be used any time for those with mobility restrictions.
Sunrise Yoga for Beginners

In this gentle beginner class will you will learn the most common yoga poses, the benefits of each one, how to build more strength in them and learn the alignment that gives you the most stability. You will also learn common breathing exercises that can support your nervous system, decreasing stress on your body and mind. Variations (modifications) will also be given if you have any injuries.
Aroma Yoga with Essential Oils

In this class, we will be using active poses, energy exercises & essential oils to strengthen, energize and cleanse the body and then settle into more relaxing poses to reset the body and mind. In each class, we will be using different oils and movement specific to each weekly theme. Week 1: Immune Support. Week 2: Breathing. Week 3: Joint & Muscle Pain. Week 4: Allergies. Week 5: Emotional Support. Week 6: Relaxation. Week 7: Foot Care. Week 8: Digestion
Yoga for Strength & Core with Janelle

This fun and challenging class gives you a full body experience with yoga poses that build strength, improve balance and cardiovascular health. There will be more core exercises included throughout the practice & class is finished off with some active stretching & relaxation.
Restorative & Yin Yoga with Janelle

Delve into a blissful class as you move into deeper muscle and connective tissue tension with some yin poses. You will then settle into restorative poses to help decrease stress on your body and mind. Deep healing comes from allowing the body to completely relax. Restorative Yoga allows the body to fully rest and reset the nervous system. The supportive use of props helps to elicit a relaxation response in the body and the mind. This practice benefits all of the muscles and organs in the body through a process of repair and rejuvenation. It also aids in mental health, is supportive to the immune system, regulates metabolism and helps with insomnia. No experience is required and everyone is welcome!

Candlelight Yin Yoga & Yoga Nidra with Janelle

Delve into a blissful class as you move into deeper muscle and connective tissue tension. Decrease stress to support your nervous system as you learn tools on how to unwind and relax your body and mind. To help complete this practice, we will finish with a short yoga nidra session to support you in getting a good nights rest.
Restorative Aroma Yoga with Janelle

The intention of this class is to provide a safe space for students to let go of tension and cultivate peace in their body and mind. There will be some gentle movement before settling into poses. In poses, the body will be fully supported by props to allow the nervous system to thoroughly unwind and the body to fully relax. There will be use of essential oils that are specifically chosen for their calming, grounding & stress-relieving properties. The human body was not designed to handle being in a state of chronic stress or “fight or flight”. In order to help the body and mind optimally deal with the challenges of daily life, it is crucial that we cultivate stillness and silence to switch into the parasympathetic nervous system which can give your body and mind time to rest, restore & heal.

SATTVA All Levels: SATTVA yoga is for the whole person -- body, breath and mind. The asana sequences are well-rounded, vigorous vinyasa-based classes that address the body systematically, moving through monthly cycles of Front, Back, Side and Central Strength perspectives on the body, as well as their correlating energetic and mental experiences. We will focus specifically on the Side Body lines for the month of March, developing sensitivity, clarity and concentration as we do so. Pranayama and meditation practices will be included at the end of the practice.
Nidra and Sound: Prepare for deep relaxation and insight to arise, as the ancient technologies of yogic sleeping (nidra) and sound (nada) are artfully combined. Sound artist Kevin Gaudet will guide you into a receptive state both verbally and through the use of his three wind gongs, wherein the body and mind can rest, heal and integrate. The mind will be sweetly and compassionately overwhelmed by the power of sound and vibration, allowing you to experience your inner environment in new and profound ways.
Hip and Knee Rescue Workshop with Denise
There are very few things that will impact your future life more than your ability to walk.
Your legs are meant to last your whole lifetime which is about 100 years!
So why do so many people complain of hip and knee issues?
What are we doing that causes us to end up in so much trouble?
Join us to learn the answer to those questions, how to undo damage that has already been done and how to improve the way your hips and knees function right now. If you have had a hip or knee replacement, this workshop will offer tools to maintain what you have and may assist in preventing another replacement.
It is important to be excited to move, excited to practice yoga or play golf or go hiking. We want movement to feel great so we can continue this grand adventure called life!
The process for hip degeneration starts very quietly and carries on unnoticed until it becomes serious. Sometimes at that point all that can be done is surgery which can have many drawbacks and few guarantees.
Allow me to help you understand and support your knees and hips so everything you do makes them stronger and better.
In this 3 hour workshop we will learn and practice:
- Myo-fascial techniques with balls to get the tissues around your hips/knees/feet feeling better right away
- A set of exercises (you can do anywhere!) using therapy bands to strengthen your legs and improve their function
- How to align and activate your feet to your hips in your yoga practice so you can use your practice to keep your legs strong and healthy going forward
- Learn the best methods for maintaining mobility (flexibility) in your hips (Pssst! It’s NOT stretching!)
- Learn what joints need to remain healthy and juicy and what they really DON’T need
This is a multifaceted approach to caring for your major joints that really works!
It can be your "go to" strategy anytime and anywhere. You will need very little equipment - you can keep it in your pocket! And you will see a noticeable improvement within the first two weeks of consistent practice!
For less than the cost of one massage session, you will have the knowledge and tools to keep your hips happy, healthy and whole.

A Spring Wellness Retreat: Zumba, Fitness, Lunch & Yoga
Sunday April 19 @10am-3pm
Investment: $100 + GST
Space is limited to 12 guests so please register early!
10-11am: Start your day retreat off with a dance fitness party with Emma that fuses latin and international rhythms in a fun class with easy to follow moves!
It’s for any age and can be adapted to any fitness level.
11:15am-12pm: After Zumba, join us for circuit training with Amy which will include the use of free weights, kettlebells, ropes, cardio exercises, bodyweight exercises and core training, finishing with stretching for a complete workout. All levels are welcome and variations can be given if needed.
12:15-1:15pm: Enjoy a nutritious lunch from the Eco Cafe to refuel!
1:30-2:45pm: After lunch we will settle into some restorative and yin poses with Janelle to help open the body after an active morning! We will also be using essential oils specifically for muscle tension relief and relaxation. Finally, we will settle into a yoga nidra for deep rest and repair for the body and mind.
Participants will also receive a swag bag of goodies and discounts from local shops!
